Change is possible.
Working towards Wellness.
My practice is eclectic, and draws from many different evidence based approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) acceptance and commitment therapy, and several experiential approaches. I pay attention to each client's needs and preferences, and tailor the therapy to each individual. Meaningful change can be achieved through a strong therapeutic relationship based on empathy, trust and respect.
Therapy is a learning process. Together we will identify the patterns of problematic thoughts and behaviour, and learn the skills necessary to change them.
Sharla Zalmanowitz, R.Psych
I am a Registered Psychologist with over fourteen years experience working with mental wellness. I emphasize the connection between the mind and body, and provide practical and effective tools to address physiological, psychological and interpersonal manifestations of stress and distress. This includes chronic pain, sleep disturbances, health concerns, relationship conflict and much more. I believe that mental wellness is foundational to good health and when we make it a priority we experience benefits in all facets of our lives.
